Upcoming - Iris Estes

Opening August 1st, 2026 - "Rain/Shine"
On August 1st, Antonio Gallery will be opening their newest show "Rain/Shine" by Iris Estes !

Rain/Shine is an exploration through worlds and atmospheres. Each piece is a dramatic articulation of natural occurrences- waves crashing, wind and mist, gardens growing- as well as emotional climates, tones, sensations, and temperaments. The dysregulated universe held for a moment of clarity and observation. There is a deliberate attempt to catch energy, swirling and eternal, in an ode to sentience. As well as, paying respects to a lineage of female painters, and forming a singular identity through observation and artmaking. The series incorporates slow methodical lines and intuitive swashes, to create a sense of equilibrium and balance. Iris utilizes texture and value: transparency, opacity, gloss and matte surfaces, to form an intentional relationship between the work and its environment, as light inevitably changes and moves across the surface.

Georgia Fernandez is a young gallerist who opened Antonio Gallery in September 2025, creating a space rooted in community and creativity. Raised around art, she learned from her parents and their friends in the early 2000s Chinatown art scene, many of whom became mentors. After her father passed in 2020, she decided to name the gallery Antonio in his memory. She aims to create a space where artists feel comfortable, excited to work, and have full creative control over their exhibitions.
